In short: Family Vector requires no account, contains no advertising or tracking, and does not send household health information to Ecopoiesis or to analytics services.
1. Who operates Family Vector
Family Vector is operated by Ecopoiesis Consulting LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company (“Ecopoiesis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the Family Vector iOS app. It does not govern information you choose to send to other people or services after exporting it from the app.
2. Information stored in the app
Family Vector lets an adult caregiver enter and manage household information, including:
- household members’ display names, adult or child roles, and optional dates of birth;
- symptoms, observation dates and times, severity levels, and optional notes;
- illness-episode labels, dates, and associations; and
- date-bounded symptom reports generated at the user’s request.
This information is used on the device to display the household timeline, organize illness episodes, and generate reports. Family Vector is a recordkeeping tool; it does not diagnose, treat, or prevent illness.
3. Information Ecopoiesis collects
Ecopoiesis does not collect household-member information, symptoms, health notes, birth dates, reports, device identifiers, app-usage analytics, advertising data, or precise location through Family Vector. The app has no developer account system, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, CloudKit synchronization, or developer-operated server connection.
4. Local storage and device backups
Family Vector stores its working household data in the app’s private container on your iPhone. Ecopoiesis cannot view or retrieve that data.
Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, iOS may include Family Vector’s local app data in an iCloud Backup or a computer backup. Those backups are provided and controlled by Apple and by you; they are not stored in an Ecopoiesis account or server. You can manage backup settings through your Apple device and Apple account.
5. PDF reports and sharing
Family Vector creates a PDF report only when you request one. The report may contain sensitive household health information. Nothing is shared automatically.
The most recently generated report is written to temporary storage inside Family Vector’s private app container and is replaced when you generate another report with the same filename. The in-app Delete All Data action removes that temporary report. iOS may also remove temporary files as it manages storage, and removing the app removes its private container. A copy you save or share outside the app is separate.
If you use Apple’s share sheet to send, save, print, AirDrop, email, message, or upload a report, you choose the recipient or destination. After that action, the exported copy is governed by the recipient, service, storage location, and privacy settings you selected. Ecopoiesis does not receive a copy.
6. Retention, correction, and deletion
Household records remain on the device until you edit or delete them, use the in-app Delete All Data action, or remove the app. You may edit or delete individual symptoms, episodes, and household members from within the app. Deleting a household member also deletes that member’s associated episodes and symptoms. Delete All Data removes the working household database, the most recently generated temporary PDF, and any recovery copy created from an unreadable data file. Copies previously saved or shared elsewhere must be deleted separately.
If Family Vector detects that its active data file is unreadable, it may preserve a recovery copy inside the app’s local container rather than overwrite it. You can remove that copy with Delete All Data or by removing the app. An earlier copy may remain in an Apple-managed device backup until that backup is replaced or deleted. PDF reports that you previously exported must be deleted separately from every destination where you saved or sent them.
Because Ecopoiesis does not possess your household records, we cannot retrieve, correct, export, or delete them for you.
7. Children’s information
Family Vector is intended for use by adults and is not directed to children. An adult caregiver may choose to record information about children in their care. The adult user is responsible for having the authority to enter and share that information and for protecting any exported report.
8. Security
Keeping data on-device limits who can access it, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure. Protect your iPhone with a device passcode or biometric lock, keep iOS current, and use care when exporting or sharing reports.
9. No sale, advertising, or tracking
Ecopoiesis does not sell Family Vector data, use it for advertising, track users across apps or websites, or share household records with data brokers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if Family Vector’s features or data practices change. The current version will remain available at this URL, with the effective date shown above. If a future version adds synchronization, accounts, analytics, or any other off-device handling of household records, this policy and the app’s disclosures will be updated before that feature is released.
